Our Nomadic Journey
In February 2017, I decided to retire early and sell my house. I bought a small RV and my dog "Paris" and I have been traveling the U.S. ever since. To escape the cold of winter, we usually travel to the Florida Panhandle, to the Gulf Coast in Texas and the desert in Arizona.
While on the road, I remotely stream one of my Internet radio stations, "Paradise Tunes."
I go LIVE from the RV and take requests from around the world.
I've had to put my blog and travels on hold since November, 2018. I was in Oregon when I received a call that my father had passed away. I've since been home in Iola, Wisconsin and put my RV in storage. Also, my mother had complications regarding knee replacement, ruptured patella tendon and a broken hip so I've stayed in Wisconsin during her healing process.
On May 3, 2019, Paris was diagnosed with an agressive cancer called Fibrosarcoma and was given only 2-3 months to live. So far, she has proven her doctor wrong and I now cherish every extra day I can spend with her. It will be very lonely traveling without Paris after she's gone and it will leave a void in my life that will never be filled.
UPDATE: Paris passed away on January 24, 2020. We shared many wonderful adventures together. RIP dear Paris!
I'm very anxious to get back on the road and plan to leave Wisconsin sometime in late fall, 2020.
